VFX Grace is a young team full of vitality, creativity, and passion for VFX.We are devoted to creating 3D models and character models by Blender, the open-source 3D software, and seeking for making more realistic effects.
In order to improve work efficiency and visual effects, we’ve developed some very practical software and plug-ins. Blender tool, “hair shape key”, can make the character’s hair animation more natural through keyframes.Fusion’s Pick_Cryptomatte script can greatly improve the loading speed of the ID channel and the final rendering output speed.

Blender Creature Effects Tutorial Rigging Section Preview
The Rigging Series will officially start pre-sales on June 24th and commence classes on July 10th. The course covers all technical essentials from basics to advanced, helping you rapidly improve your skills.

In the rigging section, we will lead you from the basics of Blender's rigging, and familiarize you with each commonly used function and constraint. In the actual rigging phase, we will learn how to combine skeletal diagrams and real references to create skinned bones for the body and face, and how to use various constraints to rig each part of the wolf, including the spine, neck, limbs, face, and even more specific, the toes, eyes, and tongue. We will also learn switching between IK/FK, ultimately creating fully functional rigging for easier animation production.

The equation you saw in the tutorial relates to the process of adding drivers during rigging. We'll explain the calculation method of driver expressions, but rest assured, this part is straightforward and easy to follow.

@@blake9264 I think so, I'm about 19 videos in, you would just need lots of cougar references. I plan to use the course as a guide when I make other animals.

Currently, achieving muscle simulation using Blender's built-in features is quite challenging, and the results are not always satisfactory. Therefore, in this tutorial series, we haven't covered this aspect. If you're interested in muscle simulation, you may want to check out the X-Muscle System plugin for Blender.
